Future Initiatives

AKKHT plans to establish:

College of Nursing. The Trust endeavours to develop and implement two colleges of nursing to meet the need of Baccalaureate and Master’s prepared nurses. These academic programs will partner with the Mother and Child Hospital (CMOSH) in Chittagong and BIRDEM, a WHO collaboration centre and the largest not-for-profit tertiary care hospital of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh. The schools will follow the WHO approved curriculum and employ highly skilled faculty from Bangladesh and from the collaborating partners in the US and India. A primary goal of these academic collaborations is to produce a sustainable Bangladeshi faculty.

AKKHT is also establishing a high quality secondary and tertiary hospital in Chittagong.
